LĪVI and the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra in Arena Riga

On the eve of Latvia’s independence day, on November 17, the legendary Latvian rock band “LĪVI” joins forces with the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra for a special music performance “Ozolam” in Arena Riga.
The concert program will be filled with festive songs that are close and dear to every Latvian’s heart. The Arena Riga audience will be provided with a fresh musical experience with the participation of Liepāja Symphony Orchestra conducted by Ainārs Rubiķs as well as “LĪVI” special guests – Intars Busulis, Igo and Musiqq.
The legendary Latvian rock band, which has been active for more than 40 years, continues to please the audience not only with such hits as “Dzelzsgriezējs”, “Dzimtā valoda”, “Zīlīte”, “Meitene Zeltene” and other popular songs, but also actively continues to work in the studio and creates new singles.
“LIVĪ” band members: Jānis Buķelis (vocals), Ainars Virga (vocals/guitar), Guntars Mucenieks (keyboards/vocals), Henrijs Mucenieks (guitar/vocals), Alex (saxophone), Mārtiņš Burkevics (bass), ShimeRa (drums).
The members of “LĪVI” band do not hide that they are very excited and honoured about the participation of conductor Ainārs Rubiķis and the Liepāja Symphony Orchestra in the forthcoming arena concert. Ainārs Rubiķis is a laureate of several international competitions and a world-renowned conductor of operas and symphony orchestras with a flourishing career. The Liepāja Symphony Orchestra is the oldest orchestra in the Baltic States and remains the only professional orchestra in Latvia outside the capital. The LSO has also received several Latvian Music Awards and has won the Latvian Recording Music Award six times.
