DISNEY IN CONCERT. “FROZEN”
For the first time in Latvia, a symphonic Disney show!
A grand celebration for the whole family on the eve of the New Year!
On December 30th, we will be treated to Disney’s masterpiece “Frozen” at Arēna Rīga, on Latvia’s largest screen, accompanied by a symphony orchestra.
Since the iconic Disney animated film “Frozen” was released, ten years have passed, but neither children nor their parents tire of watching it. On the eve of the New Year, we will once again meet our beloved characters – they can be seen on the giant screen at Arēna Riga with the musical accompaniment of a grand orchestra of 70 musicians. This captivating story, released on the screen on the eve of 2014, captured the hearts of millions of viewers. The film “Frozen” was inspired by Hans Christian Andersen’s fairy tale “The Snow Queen,” but adapted for a modern audience and contemporary realities.
The main characters of the story are Princess Anna, her faithful companion Kristoff, and the reindeer Sven, who set out in search of Anna’s older sister, Elsa, who has cast an icy spell over the land. Along the way, they encounter mystical trolls, meet the charming snowman named Olaf, traverse mountain peaks taller than Everest, and discover magic in every snowflake. “Frozen” instantly became a box office leader, and many critics hailed it as the best Disney animated film of the 2000s. The film received numerous awards, including two Oscars for “Best Animated Feature” and “Best Original Song.” The soundtrack for “Frozen” achieved platinum status and held the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart for 13 weeks, a feat previously accomplished only by the film “Titanic” in 1998. To this day, sales of the “Frozen” album have exceeded 10 million copies, and the famous song “Let it Go,” performed by Idina Menzel, has become a timeless hit. This year, “Frozen” celebrates its 10th anniversary, coinciding with another important milestone – Disney’s 100th anniversary. Such a double anniversary could not go unnoticed. The grand show “Frozen,” which the audience will be able to see at Arēna Rīga on December 30th, will immerse you in the magic of Disney’s characters and allow you to enjoy the magnificent music of the film. This will be an excellent gift for both young and old viewers on the eve of the New Year’s holiday. Prepare for a new and unforgettable adventure.
